Project Development Seminar for Interreg Programmes

Thursday, 18 February, 2016 to Friday, 19 February, 2016
Stockholm, Sweden

Because programme strategies in 2014-2020 are more focused and result-oriented, there is a need for programmes to think about how to use calls for proposals to attract applicants with the right project ideas. The programme intervention logic in 2014-2020 period is very focused, and projects need to understand and justify what advantages it can bring to the programme and its results.

The role of the programmes is to support not only project beneficiaries - i.e. organizations that already receive funding from the programme - but also those who aim at applying and may need support from the stage of project generation and project development.

Besides focusing on overall programme procedures in preparation of projects, the seminar will also touch upon the following issues:

  • How to guide applicants in filling out an application form to properly gather information to ensure the quality of project proposals,
  • The best way to establish a link between the programme and project intervention logic
  • How to attract the right beneficiaries for good partnerships, which tools to use

Interact would like to offer programmes the possibility to exchange and hear how Interreg programmes have addressed the same issues in different ways, and what advantages and disadvantages the different solutions offer.

The event is dedicated to Interreg programme staff from the Joint Secretariats, Managing Authorities and other programme bodies whose task is to advise and help potential beneficiaries prepare projects for funding.
