Post 2020: Hands on the programme template & intervention logic
Following the previous evaluation event in January, we would like to continue the discussion on topics related to evaluation post 2020: building the intervention logic including indicators and filling in this and other information into the Interreg programme (IP) template.
A sound intervention logic is the basis for a good start to evaluations in post 2020. That is why we will look into questions such as
- How to establish the intervention logic?
- How to define the right indicators?
- What are the challenges of building an intervention logic?
- What are lessons learned from the past?
On the first day, we will go through the whole template – chapter by chapter – and point out what you need to consider, when you are filling it in.
Throughout the event Dorota Witoldson (Unit D2 Interreg, Cross-Border Cooperation, internal borders, DG REGIO), a colleague from the Unit D1 (tbc), David Alba (Unit of Evaluation and European Semester, DG REGIO), and John Walsh (Unit of Evaluation and European Semester, DG REGIO) will be present.
How to use this material
The event is divided into two topics: the programming template, and the intervention logic.
If you missed the event itself, you can still watch the preparation video, the event recording and look at the Q&A compiled after the event. For both topics, there are pre-event recordings, the event itself and a Q&A document. The preparation videos are linked below, and the event and post event materials are available in the library, via the links below.
Day 1 Hand on the programme template
Commented IP template (document below): This is the most recent version of the IP template with essential comments how to fill out the template and with links to relevant background material.
‘How to fill in the IP template’: Together with Dorota Witoldson (Unit D2 Interreg, Cross-Border Cooperation, internal borders, DG REGIO) we go through each chapter of the IP template and explain what to consider when filling in this template. Watch the video:
Day 2: Hands on Intervention Logic
Interview on Intervention Logic with David Alba and John Walsh (Evaluation and European Semester Unit in DG REGIO): Watch the video. This video was published in the Interact online course: Evaluation: what to consider for a good start to 2020+.
We recommend you to check out the chapter 4.2 of this course: How to build a good intervention logic
All draft Indicator fiches (P01-PO5, Interreg) are published in the Thematic Network ‘Result and Evaluation’.
