Online, physical or hybrid events? Knowledge exchange workshop

You’re no longer frazzled by online events and you don’t run away when someone asks you to organise an online meeting. Online meetings have become part of our daily routines (unfortunately, to an overwhelming extent).
Despite the opening travel possibilities, online events have come to stay. We also see the increasing popularity of hybrid events. How to decide which event format suits the purpose of your event best? It’s about time to exchange and learn from one another – when to go for an online, physical, or hybrid event.
If you have already organised online or hybrid events, maybe even running the full show yourself, providing technical support, or delivering a session at someone’s online event – in other words, if you have the experience to share – then this event is for you. We recognize that there is a lot of experience among Interreg programme staff in delivering online events (not only holding internal team meetings online, but also organizing annual events, big webinars, etc.), and your experience deserves to be shared. Moving onto the wider use of hybrid events is another new opening for many, and we are curious to learn from your experiences.
The main objectives of this workshop are:
- to discuss which delivery mode (online, hybrid, physical) serves the best purpose in different types of events;
- to exchange on how to make events interesting and engaging;
- to share practices and learn from each other;
- to discuss the future of events – are we moving to a hybrid model or returning to a physical mode?
This event is an extension of the seminar organised in May 2021, where we focused exclusively on online events. The scope of this seminar is extended to cover different types of delivery modes and to discuss where it is best to go online, hybrid, and physical.
Please note, that during this workshop, you are expected to actively participate and contribute. After all, this is about sharing experience in delivering online and hybrid events. We ask you please to register only if you have that experience to share and are willing to do so. Please fill in the registration questions as thoroughly as you can, as we will use the information you give us there as input for designing the workshop.
