EU macro-regional strategies (MRS) are a unique policy framework and as such requires changed approaches not only for their governance and implementation but also to monitor and evaluate capturing the unique added values this framework brings to collaboration in Europe. There are already many efforts invested to develop and monitor, assess and evaluate the MRS implementation process, performance, and/or progress, either on one specific macro-regional strategy or on all of them. 

Module 6 of the "Capacity building programme for capacity builders in the MRS", will focus on bringing the discussion on the MRS monitoring and evaluation further.
