Interact organises the upcoming workshop on public procurement & strategic, responsible, green public procurement in collaboration with colleagues from the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Cyprus. The event is open for all programmes' staff from the Joint Secretariats, Managing Authorities, and other relevant programme bodies (NCPs, MC Members, etc.) involved in the thematic content dealing with public procurement (strategic, responsible, green public procurement).

The objective of the event is to share success stories and discuss challenges when managing projects with objectives in green public procurement, favouring products, services and works that respect the environment. We will address the complexity of green public procurement by presenting the key information on procurement with examples of contracts in Interreg programmes.

In the afternoon, we will organise a site visit to a green public procurement project at the Cyprus Institute (CyI). We will exemplify the use of the green-related aspects by relevant experts from the Climate Change & Environment Department (CEA) and facilitate a debate on common challenges the Interreg programmes face.
