The time of the closure of the 2014-2020 programming period is drawing close. Given the importance of the timely and efficient closure of cooperation programmes, the event aims to provide guidance to implementing authorities on the closing of programmes in accordance with Regulation (EU) No 1303/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council and the legal acts of general application adopted on its basis. The recommendations and procedures described in the closure guidelines (Commission Notice 2021/C 417/01) will be explained by DG REGIO experts, and information on response to the war in Ukraine and the COVID-19 crisis will be shared as well as their impact on programme closure. There will also be possibilities to ask questions during the event.

Target group

The online conference is open to all Interreg ERDF and IPA CBC managing authorities, joint secretariats, certifying authorities and audit authorities. NB: This event is not meant for ENI programmes.

Objectives

The objective of the online event is to explain the tasks and requirements related to the closure of the 2014-2020 programming period and to provide a forum for Interreg authorities to ask questions related to programme closure from Commission experts representing the closure and better implementation unit, the evaluation unit, and the audit unit.
