Towards practical coordination in CE&SEE

Tuesday, 22 June, 2021
Online 09:30 - 12:30 CET

The new regulatory framework 2021-2027 puts an emphasis on the need of Interreg programmes to strengthen the coordination in order to identify and boost complementarities and synergies with other funding programmes and instruments to address territorial challenges.

The area of Central and South East Europe covers many geographically overlapping Interreg Programmes, with participation of EU Member States as well as EU Accession countries and it encloses territories of three EU macro-regional or sea-basin strategies (EUSDR, EUSAIR, EUSALP).

Taking into consideration the particularities of the area, Interact is organising the online event to bring together representatives of cooperation programmes (Cross-border and Transnational cooperation), of Member States or respective non-Member States, representatives of macro regional and sea basin strategies, as well as project beneficiaries for a discussion on feasible coordination approaches, paving the way to a bigger territorial impact.

The core objective of the meeting is to enhance the exchange between the different representatives on coordination approaches leading to concrete synergies and to further support coordination of Interreg programmes in 2021-2027 in Central and South East Europe.

The main target group for the meeting are the programmes’ Managing Authorities and Joint secretariats, representatives of Member States and non-Member States, representatives of Macro regional and sea basin strategies in this area.
