Interact organises this interactive online in cooperation with colleagues from DG Regio for the Interreg programmes. We will address the complexity of public procurement by presenting the key information on green procurement, with examples of contracts in Interreg programmes provided by:

• Dr Mervyn Jones, from Sustainable Global Resources, presenting specific aspects of procurement processes to encourage more sustainable and circular procurement
• Ms Ieva Cerniute, REGIO Unit E1, explaining how DG Regio supports strategic use of public procurement (including the Green PP) and the rationale behind it
• Ms Schippers-Opejko, presentation on innovative and responsible procurement
• Mr Manuel Gonzalez Evangelista, from Interact, will show examples of how Interreg contributes to the EU Green Deal, extracted from the Interreg Climate Change Network publication.

The aim is to address specific aspects (good to know) that programmes use in the preparation phase of the specific guidance documents and manuals, how green criteria can be included in the procurement documents, and how these requirements influence the processes.

Participation in this event is open to all the programmes´ structures with no limitation. Please do not hesitate to share any questions linked with the topics proposed you would like to have addressed during the event.
