Even before the COVID-19 crisis, Interreg programmes aimed to identify and manage bottlenecks in the implementation of projects. Yet, with the same spirit and commitment, but working remotely, we are trying to help projects with implementation even if in conditions of stand by or postponed activities and payments. 

Once again, we can say the controllers work in the first line of management and control system. However, all verifications are slowed down, impeded by remote working and coordination with beneficiaries for ongoing processes of expenditure verifications. Furthermore, the most relevant challenge is to reach the on-site project facilities for checking equipment and other office supplies, services and works. Thus, we intend to address one of the most important activities of these times, which is management verifications — the first level control, and provide concrete solutions.

Thus, this webinar aims to generate ideas and exchange methods for these challenges, as well as identifying new modalities for desk-based and on-the-spot checks that have been retained due to the current situation. Interreg programmes will also be able to present their own case studies or ask live questions.

The online webinar covers:

• Between 9.30 and 11.00 CET — we will discuss management verifications, desk-based and on-the-spot checks. Programmes will also share experiences about virtual on the spot checks, followed by a Q&A session. 
• Between 11.00 and 12.30 CET — we will have a series of practical workrooms (breakout rooms in zoom platform), depending on the cases and topic of interests expressed during the registration. For this purpose we will use the "Zoom" Platform (https://zoom.us/meetings)

Participants will be provided with all the technical details and information with the final agenda.
