Back in 2009 INTERACT created the network of Audit Authorities and members of Group of Auditors of Interreg /European Territorial Cooperation (ETC) programmes. This network has met in Lisbon, Paris, Vienna, Dublin, Athens, Dubrovnik, Budapest and on Malta and constitutes a forum for ETC auditors.

This meeting will not be different in this respect and a strong participation from the European Commission will be guaranteed, as usual. The topics selected so far are annual accounts, gold-plating, omnibus regulation. There will be discussions on the post 2020 programme control and audit set up.

Objectives

The aim of those meetings is to exchange among AAs their practices about their daily work and also to exchange with the European Commission auditors about the “hot topics” of the moment. The particular objective is also to discuss particular challenges that auditors of the ETC programmes may experience as for example during the preparation of the assurance package.
