Transnational programmes post-2020 workshop

Tuesday, 28 February, 2017 to Wednesday, 1 March, 2017
Valencia, Spain

The transnational programmes and Member State representatives will meet for the fourth time in Valencia in order to continue discussing ideas for Interreg post-2020 with a special attention to transnational programmes. This time we will discuss how we to make our programmes work in a better way in post-2020 taking into account the unique characteristics of Interreg. We will finalise the discussions started in Berlin about the relevance of the territory as well as those from Luxembourg about what could be characteristics of a good indicator system for Interreg post-2020. In addition, we will discuss how we can adapt management and implementation systems to the specific needs of Interreg programmes. On the day 2, we will conclude on the key messages from our meetings.

The outcomes of the four workshops involving experts from different bodies of transnational Interreg programmes, e.g.  Heads of Joint Secretariats, Managing Authorities and National Authorities organised between May 2016 – March 2017 will be summarised in the paper. The document will be submitted to D1 Unit DG Regio to support its internal work on Interreg post-2020. At the same time, it will be published on Interact website by end of April 2017.

Kindly note that participation in this event is by invitation only.
