Third audit support network meeting

In many cases staff at MA/JS level supports their audit authority to facilitate the “ground work” of the audit cycle (preparation, implementation and follow-up). Considering the continuously increasing complexity of audit work and the even more challenging timeframe (annual closure) programmes seemed to be forced to dedicate more and more resources to audit work. To close a gap and mirror the existing exchange and networking forums were established for audit authorities themselves (EC, Interact), the audit support network was established.
The general objective of the network is to provide a platform for concerned staff at MA/JS level to exchange experiences, spread good practices, increase capacity and work towards harmonised approaches (where possible) in the area of audits. With increased knowledge and shared experiences the network can help to drive relevant developments and establish practices towards their stakeholders.
Objectives
The main objective of this lunch-to-lunch meeting is to have the possibility to exchange experience from a programme’s point of view and to continue discussions for the frame of the common sample for audit of operations in the next programming period. Topics addressed will include the delivery of the assurance package (reflections and on-going points for discussion), impact of the coronavirus crisis on the audit work and impact of the changes of the Regulations on audits. The second block will be dedicated to post 2020 and the new elements proposed in the legislation and how this can be an opportunity for harmonisation.
Together with colleagues from other programmes, participants will be able to identify common challenges in their daily work and share solutions.
Please note, participation in this event is upon invitation only.
