In the 2014-2020 period, simplified cost options are used in Interreg programmes to a much greater extent than in the past. They are one of the measures used to help reduce the administrative burden on both beneficiaries and bodies involved in the management and control of the programmes.

We are arranging a seminar where we will be looking at the application of SCOs in practice and supporting these applications with theory. Furthermore, we want to discuss with participants the potential of additional SCOs to be used in this programming period and beyond.

 

Objectives

The event aims at harmonizing and clarifying issues regarding the application, control and audit of simplified cost options. Thus, it will support the work of auditors and bodies responsible for management verifications, by giving clear directions on what to check when simplified cost options are used. The event also targets the exchange of experience on SCOs already in use and future potential.   

 

Target groups

The main target groups for this event are representatives from Interreg Managing Authorities, Joint Secretariats, National control and Audit Authorities.
