Interact organises this recurring event with our colleagues from the Managing Authority INTERREG 2021-2027 based in Thessaloniki – Greece. The network was kicked off in 2018, with physical meetings in Thessaloniki, following the needs assessment led throughout the Southern Member States. The network has a practical problem-solving approach, focusing on exchanging information, sharing experiences, practices, and lessons learned concerning management verifications and transferring the necessary knowledge to their controllers. This meeting aims to harmonise the different levels of knowledge on management verifications of the different authorities of their respective five Interreg programmes.

The objective of the meeting is to facilitate networking and sharing updates among participants, particularly discussing the differences in the legislative framework between 2014-2020 and 2021-2027 concerning management verifications. In addition, the meeting will focus on simplified cost options, theory and application, methodology on risk-based assessment, issues coming from public procurement, the validity of procurement and supporting documentation, including the accounting systems.

The target public will be the staff of the different authorities of the Interreg programmes – MAs, NAs and JSs of the INTERREG VI-A "Greece-Bulgaria", "Greece-Italy", "Greece-Cyprus", CBC Programmes INTERREG IPA "Greece-Albania" and "Greece-North Macedonia".
