Joining St. James way(‘Camino de Santiago’) at the IAE 2023

Friday, 27 October, 2023
Santiago de Compostela, Spain

Join us on the St. James Way, organized under the Interreg Annual Event in Santiago de Compostela by Interact and in collaboration with various programs and support from the European Commission, Xunta de Galicia, and the Spanish EU Presidency. This historic pilgrimage route holds cultural and historical significance, fostering connections and unity among people from diverse backgrounds. By traversing various regions and countries, this pilgrimage route has sparked collaboration between local communities, authorities, and stakeholders, transcending national borders.

On the 27th, Territorial Cooperation beneficiaries and decision-makers from local, regional, and European institutions will walk together, acknowledging St. James Way as a historical trail of exchanges across people and cultures, as Interreg is. We are sending an impressive message!

The Camino de Santiago offers a unique opportunity for both self-reflection and foster a sense of community. It encourages us to take the necessary time for these two aspects, savouring every step of the journey and embracing moments of the camaraderie with fellow Interreg colleagues.

The journey offers two itineraries of different lengths, traversing beautiful landscapes. Both groups will join at Monte do Gozo and walk together for the last part, arriving together at Plaza del Obradoiro, embracing the spirit of cooperation and unity within Europe

Come along and let’s enjoy the journey together!
