How to run online events? Knowledge exchange workshop - 2nd edition

Tuesday, 9 November, 2021
Online 09:15 - 12:30 CET

Your jaw does not drop low when you hear that you need to plan and deliver yet another online event (or not as low as it might drop in more challenging situations). No, you are not at all frazzled by online events. You simply shrug, get into your super-hero mode and get things started. Well done, you, because despite the (hopefully) opening travel possibilities, online events have come to stay, and there is always more we can learn from one another. Even the most experienced of us can always increase our knowledge and skills set.

Interested? Then read on….

If you have already organized online events, maybe even running the full show yourself, provided technical support, delivered a session at someone’s online event – in other words, if you have experience to share – then this event is for you. The pandemic didn’t stop us, the show had to go on. We adapted and moved things forward. Which meant delivering online events. We recognize that there is lots of experience among Interreg programme staff in delivering online events (not only holding internal team meetings online, but also organizing annual events, big webinars, etc.), and your experience deserves to be shared. Moving onto the wider use of hybrid events is another new opening for many, but maybe there is experiences to be shared also there?

The main objectives of this workshop are:

  • to share your experience in running online events,
  • to learn from each other,
  • to discuss what works well in a virtual environment,
  • how to make online events interesting and engaging, and how not to develop screen fatigue,
  • to discuss the future of events – are we moving to a hybrid model?

The first edition of this event was organised in May 2021, but after nearly half a year there is a lot to share and exchange on. Also, the demand for the event in May was much higher than we could accommodate, so if you are no longer a newbie to the online events and if you missed your change to participate in the first edition, this event is for you!

Please note, during this workshop, you are expected to participate actively and contribute.  After all, this is about sharing experience in delivering online events. We ask you please to register only if you have that experience to share and are willing to do so. Please fill in the registration questions as thoroughly as you can, as we will use the information you give us there as input for designing the workshop.
