Post 2020 the implementation of external programmes will be subject to the provisions of the Interreg Regulation. Specificities of external programmes might lead to implications which are different from those for internal Interreg programmes.

The draft post-2020 regulatory framework is out since May 2018 and both co-legislators have reviewed it. The start of trilogue is pending.

In a dedicated group of Member State’s and programme representatives we would like to:

• Hear Commission’s and practitioner’s view
• Discuss and exchange

We will seek to:

• Review and highlight the major implications of the draft Interreg Regulation on the management of external programmes
• Exchange views on these key issues
• Understand the need for specific events for external programmes related to programming respectively preparation for post 2020.
