Brainstorming session - SCO for project closure?

Thursday, 17 September, 2020
Online 9:45 - 12:30 CET

During several events, programmes have indicated their interest to explore the possibility to set-up a simplified cost option for closure costs. To meet this request, we are offering a brainstorming session to further discuss this possibility.

Over several programming periods, programmes have tried to come closer to a solution for the problem that costs by the project incurred at the end cannot be covered by programme. At the same time programmes are interested in to generally simplifying the closure of projects, reducing a back-and-forth concerning their final progress report, potentially “standardising” closure activities of projects.

With this event, we are aiming at coming closer what (in terms of activities and eligibility) programmes would like to simplify when it comes to project closure and if this can be achieved through SCOs and/ or if there are other simplification measures.

Please note: this is a targeted session, focusing only on a possibility for a SCO for project closure! We will not discuss issues outside that topic or introduce the basics of SCOs. If you sign up for the session, bring an open mind and readiness to brainstorm!
