Since 2013 Interact is organising networking meetings of Interreg Transnational programmes’ Managing Authorities/Joint Secretariats and Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy (DG REGIO) regarding support to the EU macro-regional strategies (MRS). The Programmes have been exchanging on the MRS support measures, sharing approaches, experiences and lessons learnt. Besides, these meetings give an opportunity for the Programme representatives to jointly discuss shared challenges, and in this way seek ways to optimise the support provided to the MRS.

This meeting intends to exchange on progress and process on defining thematic and governance support to MRS post-2020. 

The network members are the Managing Authorities and Joint Secretariats of the four Interreg Transnational programmes dedicated to supporting the MRS and DG REGIO. Interact is facilitating the discussion.
